» What are the type of apartments that you offer for rental?

We offer furnished apartment for short term rental, it can be for vacation or corporate rental. For rental more than 3 months, please contact us by email.

Our properties are in prime Paris central locations, such as Saint-Germain des Pres, the Ile Saint-Louis, le Marais , Champs-Elysees, Louvre-Opera,  and Latin Quarter. We occasionally offer exceptional apartment outside of these areas.

Every apartment is at most 5 minutes away from a Paris Metro (subway) Station , express metro RER station, and/or bus stop or taxi booth.

We carefully selected high quality apartment for rental.  The properties range from affordable ($1,600 and up) studio apartments to lovely one-bedroom properties ($2,100 a week and up) to very expensive three and four-bedroom townhouses. A few of these apartments are positively elegant, the majority offer substantial comfort in pleasant surroundings, and a few are simple but tidy and efficient properties that will be acceptable to most clients. » What is the minimum and maximum length of stay?

Most of our clients book for a period of 5 days to three months. 5 days is the minimum length of stay. For period longer than three months please inquire with us. Back to Top

 

 

» What is the arrival and departure time?

Owners normally welcome guests between 3:00 and 6:00PM on the day of arrival, and expect them to vacate on their departure date by 10:00AM. This schedule allows the owner time to restore the property to move-in condition after a client's departure and before the next client's arrival. Arrival and departure times may sometimes be altered in exceptional circumstances.

Clients generally receive final Arrival Instructions two or three weeks before departure, and earlier if necessary. Most owners welcome clients personally or arrange to have their local caretaker do so.

» What is included in the apartment rental fee?

The fee you pay for the apartment rental includes agency fee (if any), utility fee, local telephone calls, broadband internet (if available), cleaning fee (if staying more than a week there will be complimentary weekly cleaning). Tolls calls and international calls are extra. We can also arrange for extra cleaning if needed. Back to Top

 

 

» What is the booking procedure, payment method,  and cancellation policy?

 

» Booking procedure
  1. Select a property you would like to rent

    Send an email to availability@shortstayparis,com to confirm availability. Having verified with the owner, if the property is available, we will send a rental agreement by email or fax, and a reservation agreement with Short Stay Paris.

  2. Initial payment and reservation agreement

    The initial payment required to secure a reservation is 20 percent of the total rental price. This payment is due 48 hours after the client's receipt of a reservation agreement. It can be paid by credit card (with credit card authorization form), paypal, wire transfer, certified checks, money order or traveller's checks.

    The reservation Agreement will specify the rental price, extra charges (if any), amount of security deposit, maximum number of persons who may occupy the property overnight, and when the final payment is due. You will return with the reservation agreement a copy of your passport and driver's license.

    Immediately upon receipt of your initial or final payment we will email you an Acknowledgement of Payment. The Acknowledgement will note the remaining balance, and when payment is due.

  3. Rental agreement, Remaining balance and final payment

    After receiving the booking confirmation, the owner will send you a short term lease. Upon receipt, you have 15 days to pay the owner the first part of the rent as a down-payment (25-50%)

    The second half of the rent and any security deposit are due in our offices 30 days before the first day of your rental. This schedule is dictated by the fact that most owners typically require final payment 30 days before arrival. We must strictly adhere to this procedure, and failure to comply may result in cancellation of a booking.

  4. Security Deposit

    Security deposits are a standard requirement in all types of apartment rentals. It usually equals the rental amount. The deposit is paid (along with the balance of the rent) to the owner upon your arrival.

    The deposit is returned to you on the day of your departure provided that there are no damages and that the apartment is clean.

    Please note that French law does give the owner the right to return the deposit within sixty (60) days following the tenant's departure.
     
» Cancellation

Cancellation of a confirmed reservation is a painful event for both owner and renter. The renter cancels because of some unexpected hardship; meanwhile the owner may have turned away rental opportunities and thus lost revenue.

Our cancellation policies is as follows: If notice of a cancellation is received in writing 30 days or more before arrival date, 50 percent of the initial payment will be returned; if received 30 days or less before arrival, none of the deposit will be refunded. Failure to pay the final balance due by 30 days before arrival may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Security deposits are fully refundable.

Clients are strongly urged to take out Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation. Trip cancellation insurance typically costs around $70 per $1,000 of coverage. Back to Top

 

 

» How and when do I get the keys to the apartment and when do I return them?

As soon as you receive your booking confirmation, you should let the owner know the exact time of arrival and departure to arrange your check in and check out.

The owner (or a designated representative) will wait for you in the apartment and give you the keys.

An inventory shall be established and its terms agreed upon by both parties  at the time you enter and vacate the apartment.

The client is responsible for the cleaning of the apartment during the stay. The client will have to leave the apartment in the same state he found it on his arrival. The day of the departure, if the state of the apartment is not satisfactory, the necessary cleaning that will have to be done will be charged to the client. If you are responsible of any problem or damages occurring in the apartment during your stay, the owner can keep the deposit, send for repairs and/or repurchase the damaged goods. Back to Top
